It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles E. Schindler of Kirkland, Illinois, born in Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Anna Schindler (Sturm); and his brothers-in-law, Roger Harris, Laverne Harris, Gary Hughes and James Swearingen.
He is survived by: his wife Chloe; his daughters, Laura Spain (Jesse) of Monroe Center and Sarah Keef (Ryan) of Kirkland; his grandchildren, Jessa, Jory, Jared Spain and Braden Keef; and his siblings, Paul Schindler (Barb) of Waukesha, Wis., Joanne Gamache (George) of Bedford, Jeanne Harris of Brookfield, Grace Sweargin of Bradford, Judy Harris of Princeton and Nora Hughes of Peoria Heights.
