It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara E. Slattery of Kirkland, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her siblings, Donnie, John, Kenny, Dorothy, Janet, Gordie and Pete; and her granddaughter Michelle.

She is survived by: her brother Bobby McMillin; her children, Twila Payne (Al), Tom Slattery (Karen), Kay Hart (Dan), Victor Slattery and Ray Slattery (Nancy); her grandchildren, Sean Sparrow (Kim), Tom Payne, Amanda Granner (Aubrey), LeAnna Wilcox (Andrew), Mike Hart (Lindsey), Josh Slattery (Megan), Nathan Slattery, Nathan Hoffman (Maggie), Kelsey Slattery and Jayme Bohr (Adam); and her great grandchildren, Quinn, Shea, Jack, Amelia, Kaetlyn, Charlotte, Kendall, Paige, Lincoln, Melody and Olympia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to Kirkland Fire Department.
