He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Aves and Esther Aves; and his brothers, Dr. John Aves and Dr. Norman Aves. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hawkey Aves; his children, Lynn (John) of Colo, Diane (Ron) of Minn, Kevin (Karen) of Kirkland and Barry (Kris) of Kirkland; his grandchildren, Rachel, Aaron, Ethan, Christian, Emily, Sarah and Kelly; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Aves, Lois McEachran and Clarence Paulson; and his cousin Carol Byers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
