He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Bursott and Frances Bursott (Biedleman); his wife Diane Totten; and his brother Richard Bursott. He is survived by: his son Eric Bursott (Beth) of Kinmundy, IL; his stepdaughter Jill Hull (Bob) of Olney; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bemont of Robinson, IL, Shelby Bursott of Indianapolis, IN, Jonathon, Lucas and Colby Bursott of Kinmundy; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Henry and Baylor Bemont; and his siblings, Douglas Bursott, Patsy Nettleton, Doris McGregor and Nancy Pitts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
