He is survived by: his wife Treva McDowell; his children, Gene McDowell (Karen Roth) of Danville and Rebecca McDowell of Rantoul, Illinois; his stepdaughters, Yvonne White, Melva Gillenwater and Debra Webb; and his grandchildren, David McDowell (Keanna Hammonds) of Saint Louis and Robbie Richardson of Paxton, Illinois..
