It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carroll Dean Crain of Kinmundy, Illinois, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Owen and Naomi Crain (Schneider); his wife Mary Arletha Butts; and his great grandchildren, Zach Braddy and Morgan Green.
He is survived by: his children, Jock Crain of Kinmundy, Julie Green (Ed) of Kinmundy, Betsy O'Leary of Kinmundy and Della Middleton (Mark) of Kinmundy; his grandchildren, Lacey Braddy, Caleb Middleton, Seth Green, Laura Spiller, Audrey McCammick, Cody Middleton, Luke O'Leary, Kari Embrey, Sarah Bridges, Will O'Leary, Rachel O'Leary, Levi Crain and Macy O'Leary; his close friend Lynda; and his sisters, Rena O'Dell (Kent) of Kinmundy, Helen Shafer of Alma and Donna Linder of Iuka. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carroll's memory to the Phillips Cemetery.
