He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Rood and Marguerite Rood (Meyer); his children, Gayle Lee, Bob Rood and Gary Rood; his grandson Sean Saur; his brothers, William Rood (Emiline), Kenneth Rood (Mary) and Dwayne Rood; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Erhart and Nick Brummel.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Faltz; his daughters, Mary Lou Saur (DeKalb), Beth (Bob) and Becky (Don); his children-in-law, Mike Lee and Ann Rood; his grandchildren, LynAn Saur, Kyle Lee, Kurt Lee (Lauren), Andra Elk (Steve), Ryan Rood (Courtney), Brad Fowler (Alex), Brandon Fowler, Brooke Fowler, Ben Fowler, Erin Scheuneman and Brett Scheuneman; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Hughes, Gavan Hughes, Brandan Lasiewicki, Tristan Lasiewicki, Weston Lee, Penny Lee, Teagan Elk, Xander Elk and Tucker Rood; his sisters, Lorraine Erhart, Loretta Brummel and Dorothy Pulfer (Rob); and his sister-in-law Judy Rood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
