He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Sr. and Sylvia; and his wife Donna. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Johnson (late Nolen) and Rick White; his grandchildren, Jenni Mundy (Joe), Dan Bodey (Marilyn), Jody Bodey (Amanda) and Nicholas Johnson; and his sister Leona Roach (Tom).
