She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Hedge and Matha R. Griggs Hedge; and her spouse J. Guadalupe Arteaga. She is survived by: her son Jose G. Arteaga; her sister Claudia Tinney; her niece Gail Stanfill Inman (Oscar); and her children, Guadalupe Arteaga and Estella Arteaga (Bernardo Hernandez).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS) 100 TAPS Lane, Pekin, IL 61554 in her memory.
