He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Riva (Emerson); his sons, Rudy P Riva Sr. (Jennifer) of Belleville, IL and Erin P Riva (Gina) of Palm Coast, FL.; his siblings, Vicki Henley (Don) of Springfield, IL and Wesley Riva (Sheila) of Taylorville, IL.; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Nikole Riva of Belleville, IL, Alison Riva of Tovey, IL, Jordan Midgett (Anthony) and Jacob Smith of Palm Coast, FL; his great grandchild Remyngtin Riva Midgett of Palm Coast, FL.; his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Emerson (Harold) of Springfield, IL, Sharon (Rick Smith) of Taylorville, IL and Ronald "Dale" Emerson of Canada; and his close friend Laura Agrippino.
