He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Smith and Lucille Smith; his son Jeff; his brothers, Donald and Ronald Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Welge and Janice Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee; his daughter Shelley Daigh; his grandchildren, Kendra Rozenboom (Curtis) and Hailee Daigh; his sister Crella Welge; and his pets, Juneau, Leia, Luna, Jaxx and Duke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the South Fork Jr. Sr. High School (612 Dial St, Kincaid, IL 62540). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Masterson Funeral Home (136 Central Ave, Kincaid, IL 62540).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Judes Children Hospitals, Disabled Veterans or the South Fork High School athletic department.
