He was predeceased by: his parents, William Archie and Pansy Van Dyke (Turner). He is survived by: his siblings, Elgin Van Dyke, Ralph Van Dyke, Viola Watkins, Alice Huston, Dorothy Johnson, Margie Govert and Doris Gilmore Holmes; his daughter Linda Pierce of Bushnell; and his friend Loretta Beanes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
