He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Washburn and Laura Washburn (Moffet); his wife Christine Grench; and his sons, Bill, Dave and Bob.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Bill (RaNae), Robert, Brian, David, Teresa, Thomas Washburn and Christine Gallagher; and his daughters-in-law, Kathy and Karen Washburn. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
