He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J., Sr. and Frances VerVynck (Mahnesmith); his former wife Dawn DeVenney; his wives, Carol Blodgett and Paula VerVynck; his close friend Mary Engels; his sons, Scott and Tommy VerVynck; and his siblings, Gene Kalis, Michael VerVynck, Stanley VerVynck, Donald VerVynck, Janet Nance, Helen Turner, DeDe Yelm and Donna VerVynck.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph VerVynck, Misty Patterson (Jason) of Crestview, FL and Darcy McCommons; his stepson Larry Morris (Kelly); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Dallas, Austin, Alan, Brendan, Connor, Isabelle, Tess, Liviann, Aidan and Teygan; his siblings, John VerVynck (Priscilla), Jerry VerVynck, Jimmy John Larson, Hazel Williams (Larry) and Bonnie Callicutt; and his sister-in-law Missy VerVynck. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
