It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Hampton of Kewanee, Illinois, born in Victoria, Illinois, who passed away on August 14, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Verne; her spouse Wren R Hampton; her sister Betty Edwards (Lake); and her sons, Wren III and Gary.
She is survived by: her children, Berna Gustaitis (Dave) of St. Charles, MO, Zoe Langdon of St. Charles, MO, Robin Andrews (Jay) of Kewanee, Verne "Sam" Hampton (Kay) of Moline, IL, Nick of Kewanee, Randy "RJ" (Pam) of Maryville, TN and Doug (Jackie) of Wyoming, IL. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Kewanee Public Library for large print books or the Henry County Humane Society-Kewanee Chapter.
