We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2022, at the age of 93, Richard D. Melchin of Kewanee, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Melchin and Lena Melchin (Lasse); his wife Florence I. Stortz; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his children, Wesley Melchin of Clinton, IA and Cindy VanLandegen (David) of Rock Island; his grandchildren, Luke and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Dorothy, Monica VanLandegen, Josiah, David and Helena Shoop.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
