He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sidney and Joyce Izetta Yakes (Allen); his siblings, Catherine Bohannon (Ozra), Betty Mahaffey (Joe Bill), Dorothy Woolery (Joe), Peggy Earnest (William), William "Bill" Yakes and Donald Yakes (Judy); and his daughter Kimberly Willson.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Taylor; and his children, Paul Yakes Jr. of Illinois, Yancy Yakes (Tracy) of Hannibal, MO, Duane Willson of Bloomfield, IN, Tamela Cumpston (Gilson) of Canyon Lake, TX, Pammy Dyke (Alan) of Missouri, Tammy Stueve (Bruce) of Iowa, Shelley Grieving (Dan) of New London, MO and Kenna DeMay (Don) of Galva. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
