She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley P. Petty and Velma P. Petty (Webster); her husband Robert "Bob" Vandendooren; and her brother Bruce Petty. She is survived by: her daughter Susan Youngstrom (Kent); and her grandchildren, Tracy Powell (Joe), Trent Youngstrom (Jessie), Jamie English, Cara Mindenhall, Jeremy Vandendooren, Zachary Vandendooren (Amanda) and Tyler Vandendooren (Abbey). She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or American Lung Association.
