She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin E. Hegwood and Melva Hegwood (Gibson); her siblings, Ina Gilland and Edwin C. Hegwood; her brother-in-law Jack Lester; her great-nephew Colton Rusk; and her great-nieces, Caitlin and Cassandra Rusk.
She is survived by: her son Dustin Hegwood (Chelsea Popejoy) of Kewanee; her sister Mary Lester of Kewanee; her grandson Abel; and her nieces and nephews, Dawn Rusk, Tracey Herrick (Ryan), Becky Hegwood, Patty Giesenhagen, Amanda Gilland, Tom Rusk Jr. and Shawn Rusk (Stephanie).
