With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Varner of Kewanee, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Larry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Larry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Larry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Steve Varner and Avis Varner (Beede); and his brother Alan Varner. He is survived by: his wife Patty Carper; his sons, Mark Varner (Andréia Krause) of Skokie and Ben Varner (Erin) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Adalyn Varner and Colin Varner of Lincoln, Illinois.; and his brothers, Bruce Varner (Connie) of Creve Coeur and Eric Varner (Sue) of Carlock, Illinois..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rux Funeral Homes (313 Market St, Galva, IL 61434).
