It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kipp L. Abernathy of Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on December 19, 2022, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Timothy W. Abernathy; and his grandparents, Wayne, Doris Abernathy and Florence Preston. He is survived by: his mother Sharon K. Abernathy (Preston) of La Fayette, IL; his former wife Heidi Boardman; his children, Krayten R. Abernathy and Kieryn R. Abernathy; his brother Brad Abernathy (Marlo); his aunts, Tina Abernathy of Galva and Tonya Abernathy of Galva; his uncle Clifford "Sonny" Preston (La Fayette); his nephews, Zachary Abernathy of Galesburg and Bryce Abernathy of Galesburg; and his cousins, Rick Preston, Ryan Preston and Modena.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established.
