He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Bob Adkison. He is survived by: his parents, Douglas "Doug" and Darlene Hilgendorf (Scott); his spouse Shellie Adkison; his siblings, Franklin Hilgendorf (Melissa) of Murfreesboro, TN and Lynn Hilgendorf (Steve Louderman) of Galesburg; his mother-in-law Karen Adkison of Kewanee; and his sister-in-law Jacquie Kauffman of Kewanee. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Due to COVID restrictions and capacity limits the funeral will be live-streamed at 11:00 a. m., Thursday, April 22 via the Rux Funeral Home Facebook page.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Illinois Correctional Employees' Memorial Association (ICEMA) or to the Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation.
