With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay M. O'Neill of Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on January 19, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kay M. O'Neill to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Johnson and Celeste Johnson; her brother Louis "Buster" Johnson; and her nieces, Jody and LouAnne Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Howard O'Neill; her children, Michael O'Neill (Karol) of Kewanee, Carrie Wakefield (Brock) of Kewanee and Liz DeSmit (Pete) of Goochland, VA; her grandchildren, Alexis Wakefield, Aaron Wakefield (Megan), Rachel Perva (Matt), Kelly Fuentes (Andres), Anna Slover (Chris), Patrick O'Neill (Emily), Megan Zannoni (Cesare) and Zachary DeSmit (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Leeam, Conor, Ellie Slover, Carolina, Sophia, Anna Fuentes, Iver Wakefield, Benjamin, Noah Perva, Finnigan and Zealand Zannoni; her sister Nell Ann Smith of Moline, IL; her children, Dustin, Tiffany and Brandon; and her nieces and nephews, Kim Johnson, Kathleen Brunner, Shelia Redman, Dan, Tim O'Neill and Brian Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint John Paul II Parish (406 W Central Blvd, Kewanee, IL 61443). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Visitation School Pre-School Program.
