He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ricknell and Anna Ricknell (Ogren); his wife Emilie M. Dolieslager of Paul's Lutheran Church; his sisters, Edith King, Olga Ricknell and Esther Walters; and his son-in-law Larry VanDyke.
He is survived by: his children, David Ricknell of Kewanee, Lynda VanDyke of Prophetstown, Jennifer Fleming (Terry Barker) of Kewanee and Simone Nelson (Rick) of Eagle, WI. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (109 S Elm St, Kewanee, IL 61443). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of their great grandson.
