With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. Lewis of Kewanee, Illinois, born in Iola, Illinois, who passed away on November 27, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Lewis and Dorothy Lewis (Spinner); his wife Deloris J. Prather; and his siblings, Helen Lewis, Robert Lewis, Jean Neff and Betty Dow.

He is survived by: his son Michael Lewis (Kathryn) of Kewanee; his grandchildren, Angela Babcock (Patrick) of Neponset, Ryan VanWynsberg (Rae-Lynn) of Knoxville and Tyler VanWynsberg (Taylor) of Bloomington; and his great grandchildren, Cyrus, Lincoln, Emerson Babcock, Delaney McCartney, Elena, Isabella and Amilia VanWynsberg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
