He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Simmons and Peggy E. Simmons (Hines); his sister Donna Simmons; and his daughter Jacklyn Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Lori Grant; his children, Gilbert Simmons, Jr., Matthew Simmons, Bradley Simmons, Kyle Grant, Teala Grant and Catrina VanCour; and his siblings, Terrie Wade (Perry) of Camil, IL, Dennis Fude (Donna) of Green City, MO, Jerry Simmons (Mary) and Lloyd (Lorie). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
