He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Matheny and Inez Matheny (Hull); and his siblings, Robert Matheny, Louisa Mandrell, Wilma Lane, Bessie Chandler, Charlotte Marks and James Matheny.
He is survived by: his son James Matheny (Deborah) of Clinton, IL; his grandson Hunter Matheny of Kenney, IL; his sister Irene Weinel of Arkansas; and also Hunter Matheny.
