He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Mellor Petry; his parents, Margaret Petry (Nelson) and Henry Petry; and his siblings, Margaret Louise York and Lyle Nelson Petry.
He is survived by: his great-niece Shari Schultz of Champaign, IL; his great-nephews, Kevin York (Jill), Brian York and Andrew York; his godchild Allegra Heinz; his grandchildren, Avery and Sienna Heinz; his friends, Lew and Shirley; and also, Nick Voss (Katie) of Champaign, IL, Adam Voss (Brandy), Sam Schultz, Colin York, James York, Connor York, Carli York, Julie York and Emily York.
