He is survived by: his wife Nancy Malcom of Keithsburg, Illinois; his sons, Jody L. Nylin (Jeannie) of Fredericksburg and Stephen D. Nylin (Jennefer) of Keithsburg, Illinois; his grandchildren, Brandon, Tasha, Breana and Beonca; his siblings, Ben E. "Gene" Nylin (Janet) of O'Fallon, Richard Nylin (Janet) of Keithsburg and Kathy Wheeler of Woodhull; and his mother-in-law Marline M. Malcom.
Memorials may be made in his name to Keithsburg Fire Department or Keithsburg First Christian Church.
