He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Steven and Mabel Elizabeth Powers Garrett; and his siblings, Wayne, Harold (Hap) and Dixie.
He is survived by: his former wife Betty Anderson; his daughters, Vicki Smith (John Stivers) of Oquawka and Trish Nobiling (Scott) of Roseville; his granddaughters, Abbie Yeater (Tanner McGeehon), Katie Nobiling and Kristen Nobiling; and his close friend Kennard Kircher.
