He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene L. Garner and Dorothy A. Mulvaney Garner. He is survived by: his former wife Debbie Cooper; his significant other Kim Monson of Keithsburg, Illinois; his sons, Jeremy Garner (Christina) of Keithsburg, Brad Garner (Amber) of Almond and Darin Garner (Bailey) of Oquawka, Illinois; his stepdaughters, Mindy Hodorff (Greg) of St. Cloud, Mary Franks (Jason) of Yates City and Samantha Monson (Travis Lilly) of Aledo, Illinois; his sister Elaine McAlister (David) of Warrenton, Missouri; and his stepsisters, Denise Kondrat (Tom) of Florida and Janet Buzick (Mike) of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the Keithsburg Fire Department (for Agricultural Safety and Rescue Education and Equipment) or to the First Christian Church, Keithsburg.
