It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Gerald Smith of Kansas, Illinois, born in Mendota, Illinois, who passed away on November 19, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Smith and Dorothy Smith; and his siblings, Tom Smith and Patty Jordan. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Craigmile; his children, Kathi Russell (John) of Austin, TX., Julie Brown of Rochester, IL., Doug Smith (Jamie) of Springfield, IL and Steve Smith (Candy) of Platte City, MO.; and his siblings, Dave Smith of Florida and Sandra Baumgartner of Florida. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
