With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma M. Lamontagne of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Ponton and Florence Ponton (Ponton); her daughter Mary A. LaMontagne; and her siblings, Pete Ponton, Russell Ponton and Dorothy Rasmussen.
She is survived by: her husband Bernard H. LaMontagne of Kankakee; her sons, David LaMontagne of Kankakee, James H. (Sherry LaMontagne) and Gerald J. LaMontagne of Kankakee; her grandchildren, Katelyn, Derek Beasley of Flemming Island, FL and Samuel H. LaMontagne of Grant Park; and her sister Shirley Denoyer of Paxton.
