It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Ray Gray (Kankakee, Illinois), born in Brooksville, Mississippi, who passed away on December 19, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Virgil Lane and Sarah Lane; her children, Susie Brown (Joseph) of Kankakee, IL, Cathy Gray, Bernice Rosas of Rantoul, IL, Frankie Gray (Rosie) of Rantoul, IL and Andra Gray of Rantoul, IL; her siblings, Frances Malone (Forrest) of Brooksville, Abram Lane (Mattie) and John Lane (Willie) of Kankakee, IL; her husband Gray Sr.; her siblings, Minnie P. Gray, Annie Ashford, Rosie Harrell, Mary Rosenthal and Tommie Lane; her children, Clara Gray, J. B. Gray Jr., Michael Gray and Flora Gray; and her grandchildren, Frankie Gray Jr. Seraphia Staples, Tovorie Gray and Aaron Gray. She was also cherished by grand-children, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
Sarah gracefully accepted her wings on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
