He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul and Colette (Fritz); and his sister-in-law Monica Cheffer. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Kroll); his children, Alina Borkowski (Byron), Amari Thomsen (Will) and Ricky Cheffer; his brothers, Jim Cheffer of Bradley, IL and Marc Cheffer (Vicki) of Streator, IL; his nieces, Stacey Larson (Jim), Tina Payne (Troy), Jayne Jarigese and Mary Cheffer; and his granddaughter Odette. He is also survived by many other nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
