Ralph Magruder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph Magruder of Kankakee, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 13, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ralph Magruder to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Magruder and Margaret Magruder (Canney); his stepmother June Magruder; his brothers, Bill Magruder and Ron Magruder; his stepchildren, Bruce Leggett and Pam Truesdell; his granddaughters, Jamie Heagle and Valerie Magruder; and his brothers-in-law, Dwayne Higginbotham and Weaver Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Katie Magruder of Kankakee; his sons, Lanny Magruder (Chris) of Bradley, Rick Magruder of Savannah, GA and Ralph W. Magruder of Limestone; and his siblings, Carol Higginbotham of Bonfield, Margie Williams of Charlotte, NC, Judy Hamilton (Bill) of Manteno, Nola Chisum of Bourbonnais, Darlene McCoin of Kankakee, Arlene Turner of Danforth, Janet Arends (Keith) of Bradley and Richard Magruder of Limestone. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kankakee - Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home (1480 W Court St, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
