It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip J. Moenck of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Moenck; his parents, John Moenck and Ella Moenck; and his brother-in-law Neil Sullivan. He is survived by: his children, Steve Moenck (Nicole), Shirley Parnau and Kevin Moenck (Christine); his grandchildren, Ashlee Parnau, Rachel Parnau, Logan Moenck, Nathan Moenck, Malory Apke (Brandon) and Freddy Greifzu; and his siblings, Rose Sullivan, Ruby Roemer (George) and Paul Moenck (Rita). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (177 Luther Ln, Frankfort, IL 60423).
