With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Orell G. Holeman (Kankakee, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2025 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James and Sara Pritchett; his parents, David Sr. Holeman and Mable Holeman; and his siblings, JoAnn Holeman, Annie Lee Jackson, Ruth Ann Scott, Andrew Giles, Clarence "Pete" Holeman, Cleadous "Bob" Holeman, Ezell Holeman and David Holeman Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Tearyn Williams of Kansas City, MO, Tamala Williams of Deerfield, IL and Shavonna (Michael); his grandchildren, Daryl Williams (Leah), LaTonya Williams, Ronnie Grant and Jisaan Cruse; his brother Tevel (Curtis) Holeman; his sisters-in-law, Ruby Giles and Virginia Holeman; his girlfriend Charlotte Jefferson; and his godchildren, Derrick Wilson and Kearis Jones. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (1055 N Schuyler Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Second Baptist Church (717 N Wildwood Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901).
