With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nina Bea Key in Kankakee, Illinois, born in Brooksville, Mississippi, who passed away on August 28, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucious Brown and Magnolia Taylor Brown; her granddaughter Nina Holmes; and her siblings, Queen E. Chandler, Lucious Brown, Jr., Henry Brown, Hamp Brown and Eddie Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ethel Jean Key and LaTeashea Young; her brothers, James Brown (Margaret) of Brooksville, MS and Sammie Brown of Crawford, MS; and her close friends, Barbara Brooks, Doris Rice, Elizabeth Dear, Mae Banks and Ruby Nelson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
