She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Mershon and Bernadette Schnieder Mershon; her husband Leo J. Scanlon; and her siblings, Rita Lewis, David Mershon and Robert Mershon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary E. Scanlon of Galesburg and Ann Scanlon of Kankakee; her grandsons, Matthew Thiesen and Mark Thiesen (Jen); and her great grandchild Lexi Thiesen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church, Make a Wish Foundation for Children, or Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
