He was predeceased by: his wife Dollie Woodard Shoemaker Dabney; his sons, Dennis Dabney and Leon Dabney; his stepchildren, Donald Ray Woodard, Frances Jackson and Evelyn Shoemaker; his parents, Adolphus Dabney, and Bessie Branch Dabney, Sr.; and his siblings, Elijah Dabney, Elester Dabney, Adolphus Dabney, Jr., Romona Dabney and Naomi Talley-Simmons.
He is survived by: his daughter Kayla Q. Earl; the mother of his child Dianna McElroy; his son Tawon Gaston; his stepsons, Michael and Anthony Shoemaker; and his sister Bessie Mae Dabney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
