She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter James, Sr. and Ethel McGee James; her son Eugene D. Brown, Jr.; her siblings, Juanita Brewster (Tim, Sr.), Almeda Ames and Walter, Jr. James (Jean); and her niece Laquita A. Brewster.
She is survived by: her daughter Tonya S. Fortinberry; her granddaughter Anyia R. Brown; and her brother-in-law Sam Ames. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
