It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenny Tatum (Kankakee, Illinois), who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Lou Tatum (Alford) and Braxton Tatum; and his siblings, Clinton Tatum, Clifton Tatum, Odessa Micheaux, Ophelia King and Hattie Pearl Nash.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Tatum (Rousseau). He is also survived by cousins and many treasured nieces and nephews.
His community service earned him many awards, including the Coretta Scott King Music Award, presented by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Foundation.
