It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Susan Martini (Kankakee, Illinois), who passed away on March 25, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Eckhardt and Oneda Eckhardt (Stilley); her siblings, Walter "Sid" Eckhardt and Betty Jane Schnell; her parents-in-law, John Martini and Adele Martini; and her siblings-in-law, Grace Eckhardt, Mary Martini, Linda Martini, Flora Martini and Melvin Schnell.
She is survived by: her husband Gino; her sons, Anthony Martini (Allyson) of Aurora, IL and Stephen Martini (Carol) of Milford, DE; her grandchildren, Andrea Gordon (Kris), Nicholas Martini (Kristen), Alex Martini (Kristina), Sean Martini and Emily Martini; her brothers, Stanley Eckhardt (Ionia), Frederick Eckhardt (Dolores) and Edwin Eckhardt (Mary Kay); and her sister-in-law Anna Corwin (Robert). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials/donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
