He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Wilkerson and Martha Wilkerson; his wife Dollie Nash; his daughter Sonya Berry (Luther) of Bourbonnais; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Armstrong of Bourbonnais; his stepchildren, Michael Campbell (Latrice) of Chicago, Denise Boxley of Kankakee, Angela Springer (Laurent) of Kankakee and Stephanie Campbell (Eddie Morris) of Kankakee; his grandchildren, Quiana Armstrong of Bourbonnais, Washuna Murphy of Bourbonnais, Patrick Johnson (Tyressa) of Bourbonnais, Sarah Morris (Chris) of Bourbonnais and Samantha Baines (Mark) of Pembroke Township; his siblings, Shirley Simmons of Alanta, Vivian Quasim of Dayton, Ohio and Fred Wilkerson of Muncie, Indiana; his brother-in-law Lavell Nash of Chicago; his son James Armstrong; his stepdaughter Regina Boxley; and his brother Robert Wilkerson. He was also cherished by great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
