Jackson D. Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2025, at the age of 73, Jackson D. Smith of Kankakee, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Sr. Hicks and Betty Hicks; and his siblings, Eddie, Nobel Hicks and Judy Jacobs.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith of Teresa's Church; his children, Chad "CJ" Smith (Shannon) of Dwight, Pat Paquette, Phil Paquette (Annette), Michelle Jackson (Stacey), Jennifer Sullivan and Melissa Senesac; and his siblings, Patti Hicks, Debbie Neckopulos and Kenneth Hicks (Rhonda). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jensen Funeral Home (3639 EAST State Route 17, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
