Howard Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Smith of Kankakee, Illinois, born in Charleston, Missouri, who passed away on September 2, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Smith and Pauline "Newsom" Smith; his wives, Joyce Beegle and Penelope Nelson; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Jerry Beegle; and his siblings, David "Earl" Smith, Gary Smith and Linda Froelich.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Akers of Arizona, Howard Smith Jr. (Sue) of Arizona, Tracy Lagacy (Joe) of Pontiac and Taunya Smith (Michael Denoyer) of Danforth; his brother Larry Smith (Lois) of Naples, FL; his siblings-in-law, Linda Wood, Sharon Beegle, Gary and Gregory Beegle; and his children, Keith Reel (Arlene) of Bourbonnais, Rebecca Carter (Tim), Brad Reel (Ann) and Katey Compton (Eric) of Homer Glen. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
As per CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required for attendance of the services.
