He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick and Agnes; his son Matthew; his son-in-law Glenn "Chip" Lantz; and his siblings, Irene, Byron, Marguerite "Margo", Edmund "Bob", Beulah "Bea" and Fred.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Frederick; his children, Pamela Nottke (Alan), Steven Bentz (Dianne), David Bentz, Wendy Lantz and Janelle Southan (Phillip); and his daughter-in-law Renita Bentz-Miller. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind.
