It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edwin Meents of Kankakee, Illinois, born in Ashkum, Illinois, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Meents and Agnes Meents; his children, Marcie (Michael Kolberg), Limestone, Mark (Donna Meents) and Scott Meents (Colleen Davis); his grandchildren, Lisa Barry, Paris, France, Courtney Kolberg Duda (Adam), Limestone, Jason Kolberg (Delaney) of Davenport, IA, Mekena Herrera of Seattle, WA and Mason Meents; his great grandchildren, Alessandra Barry and Shelby Lee Duda; his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Meents and Robert Pare (Nancy) of Bloomington, IL.; his wife Perna Lee; and his brother Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Prairieview Lutheran Home.

As you know Ed and I go way back to Gilman High School, University of IIlinois, and most of all 9 years as board members of the famous Prairie View Lutheran home.
