He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne St and Florence St (Birr); his son Robert Michael St. John; his sister Janice; his brother-in-law Ray Tengdin; and his brothers, William and Wayne St. John.

He is survived by: his pets, Snoopy and Snuggly; his children, Brian St. John of Omaha, NE and Sheri Schmisek (Jeff) of Bourbonnais; his grandchildren, Jamie Dalen (Brett) and Tyler Cavender; and his great grandchild Reid Allen Dalen.
